THE PROJECT
She did not have a drawing,
But she must have had a plan;
She was halfway through the project
I wasn’t there when she began.
She did not need a ladder
Or any help at all,
It was a big construction
For one so very small.
Working through the dark of night
Seemed not to have a break,
A diligence not needing light
Nor how long it would take.
The precision was outstanding
She didn’t need a rule,
Didn’t have to pass exams
Or even go to school.
Then when it was completed
Her ardour did not ebb;
They were two of natures wonders,
The spider and her web!!
